Hi, I’m Scott Crump—the surfer and shaper behind Crump Shapes x Sollife Surfboards, now based in Noosa Heads, Australia. I’ve been shaping boards for over 30 years and surfing even longer, working with everyone from world champions to young groms finding their feet. These days, my greatest stoke comes from helping experienced surfers fine-tune their equipment, push their surfing further, and do the same for their kids.
As a former professional surfer, I still travel to world-class waves to test designs and keep things progressing. Every model I offer has been ridden hard—by me and by a global crew of core surfers who give honest, real-world feedback. That process keeps each board refined, relevant, and always evolving.
There are no bots or stock replies here—just me. I design, shape, and ride every board, treating each custom like it is being built for a teammate, not a transaction.
I’m proud to collaborate with world-class craftsmen at South Coast Foam and SunGlassing here in Australia. While my shaping office is in Noosa, I regularly travel to Hawaii, California, the UK, and beyond to work with teams who share the same obsession with performance, quality, and feel.
The name: sollife
The name sollife came to me while I was traveling through Spain around '96. I was wandering along the coast and noticed how many beaches were named after the sun: Playa del Sol, Costa del Sol, and it stuck with me.
At the same time, some of my very closest friends were drifting into darker paths, living for the night. I have always been about the opposite: the day, the sun, and the energy that comes from living in the light. A life lived in the sun, in the water, with good people around you. We are not just building boards, we are building a community of wave riders. Come live it with us.
